Love the tannins and fruit balance in this wine so served it with broiled chicken - at first glance it has some aged "browness" to the colour - that seemed strange for a 2008 until I remembered that a southern hemisphere wine is 6 months older than a n. hemisphere one and it's now 2012! That's a reall good 4 yr old wine I'm drinking.

Flagstone Dragon Tree Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Pinotage 2008, W.O., Western Cape, South Africa: Rounded, delicious and sumptuous! Sink your teeth and hedonistic heart into this red. Lovely aromas of blackberry, cassis, spice, and plum. This wine is a blend of 51% cabernet sauvignon, 24% shiraz, 22% pinotage and 3% merlot, and it aged in oak for 18 months.
