rated this wine as 89/100
with the following review:
Lots of cherry and dates and figs on the palate. Good acidity and well balanced. Good tannins. Big solid medium finish. No oak as it has been aged in stainless steel. I wouldn't have this with a big steak but would really like to pair it with turkey! And the berry flavor would go great with cranberries on the side!
Huff Estates Winery Merlot 2008, Prince Edward County, Canada: Attractive, mouth-watering black cherries, blackberries and earthy notes. Gives a pleasant bite with supple, full-bodied layers of flavour. Good balance. This winery has made big strides quickly in terms of its quality and development from just starting out.
