Hawkshead Pinot Noir 2008, Central Otago, South Island, New Zealand: Vintages Wine Panel: Attractive sweet cherry, dried flowers, bacon fat, tarragon and dried cranberry aromas and flavours. Dry and quite flavourful with good support from silky tannins and fresh acidity. Medium-full bodied with a lengthy, generously fruity/tangy finish. Another fine Pinot from Central Otago. My note: Humongous acidity that will dance with food. Big tart, saucy cherries. Medium-bodied and smooth. Drink: 2011-2016. 140632 13.50% XD 750 mL $30.95 Score: 90/100. December 10, 2011 Full Review
