Natalie's Review

Château Mondot Meritage 2008, A.C., Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, France: Vintages Wine Panel: A fine example of the highly anticipated 2008 Bordeaux vintage. Complex aromas of currants, cherry, blueberry, cocoa, anise and tobacco. Medium-full bodied, ripe and robust with fleshy tannins giving structure. Cellar this wine for 3-5 years, or decant and enjoy it tonight. My note: Smoky, black and brooding with big black fruit and a full-bodied weight. Perfect for hearty meat dishes. This is the second wine of Château Troplong-Mondot. Drink: 2012-2018. 137463 13% XD 750 mL  $45.00 Score: 90/100. December 10, 2011  Full Review
