Cave Hunawihr Kuhlmann Platz Pinot Gris 2008, A.C., Alsace, France: Gold Medal winner at the 2010 Concours Général Agricole in Paris. Vintages Wine Panel: Peach, apple, orange peel, honeycomb and floral aromas greet the nose here. The palate follows suit in fine style. Lovely ripe pear, honeycomb, cantaloupe and peach notes abound in this crisp and balanced Pinot Gris. Very refreshing. Enjoy this as a sipping wine. My note: Ultra-dry yet it has appealing peach-apricot notes. Lovely as an aperitif or companion to many dishes. Drink: 2011-2014. 224204 13.50% D 750 mL $17.95 Score: 88/100.
