Clos Paradis Récolte Du Domaine Voarick Mercurey 1Er Cru Michel Picard 2009, A.C., Burgundy, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Mercurey's vineyards reside at an altitude between 230 and 320 metres, and produce wines that are structured and dense with solid mid-term ageing potential. Showing red-fruit jam flavours and vanilla notes, this an elegant and silky Pinot. My note: Gorgeous tart black cherries and cranberries covered in earth (yes, that’s a good thing). Velvet texture and mouth-watering juiciness. This is why I love Burgundian Pinot Noir. Drink: 2011-2017. 86603 13.50% XD 750 mL $28.95 Score: 91/100. October 15, 2011 Full Review
