Natalie's Review

San Pedro 1865 Single Vineyard Carmenère 2008, Maule Valley, Chile: Vintages Wine Panel: Very flavourful Carmenère with aromas of coconut oil, cassis, plum, underbrush, cloves and ripe tobacco. Dry, plush and fruity with velvety tannins. Very good aroma replays, with nice acidity wrapped around the fruit to make it beautifully lively. A refined, fruity/savoury wine with a very long finish. My note: Herbal with a pleasant bitter note underlies rich fleshy black plums. Velvet texture, full-bodied weight. Drink: 2011-2015. 249201 14.50% XD 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 88/100.
