Small Gully Mr. Black's Little Book Shiraz 2010

Barossa Valley, South Australia, Australia

Reviewed: October 26, 2013

$17.95

My Review: Lots of dark red fruit, earthiness and cedar. Long lasting finish and rich on the palate. Wonderfully paired with steak or hearty meat sauce over gluten free pasta! Yum! Score: 92/100

Errazuriz Max Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2012

    Valle de Aconcagua, Chile

    Reviewed: September 11, 2013

    $15.95

My Review: Great Sauvignon Blanc at a great price point. Many layers, wonderful nose - hints of citrus fruit, grassy and herbaceous. Bursting with flavor on the palate and could stand up to SB's that are double its price. Fresh and crispy, representative of the region. Score: 89/100

      Errázuriz Max Reserva Syrah 2011

      Valle de Aconcagua, Chile

      Reviewed: September 11, 2013

      $18.95

My Review: This is representative of an Old World Syrah. Lots of layers, complex and delivers well on the nose and on the palate. Lots of black pepper, dark fruit, cherry and blackberry. Long finish. Good representation of oak and smokiness. Only about 20 percent of new oak barrels used. Very well done. Score: 89/100

        90/100

        Errázuriz Max Reserva Carmenere 2010

        Valle de Aconcagua, Chile

        Reviewed: September 11, 2013

        $20.25

My Review: Great Carmenere - lots of complexity on the nose and palate. Truly representative of the style - lots of leather, pepper, dark fruit, cloves, leather, fig and spice. Tannins were not overpowering and hints of tobacco on the palate shone through. Silky and smooth this wine could age week for the next 5 years. Score: 91/100

          91/100
