Michel Picard Bourgogne Chardonnay 2009, A.C., Burgundy, France: This has got to be a typo on the price! Hazelnut richness wraps itself gorgeously around green apple and peach notes. Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay 2008, Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon, United States: How absolutely delightful! Pure green apple sunshine infused with a toasted almond finish. The Chardonnay was fermented half in stainless steel and half in 30% new oak, then the oak-fermented portion went through malolactic fermentation to give a creamier mouth-feel.
