Golan Heights Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, Galilee, Israel: Vintages Wine Panel: With its hot days balanced by cool nights, Galilee is considered by many to be Israel’s finest wine- growing region. This wine from the Golan Heights Winery shows why. Match it to lamb kebabs. This wine is kosher. My note: A lovely wine with a supple, full-bodied textured and generous layers of dark raspberries and black plums.  A superb effort from this producer. 611152 14.50% XD 750 mL  $27.60 Score: 91/100. Terredora Aglianico 2007, I.G.T., Campania, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: Aglianico is poised to be the new “it grape” of southern Italy. This version is deep ruby in color with forward aromas of cedar, smoke, plum, cherry and leather. It’s dry, rich and plump with dark fruit, espresso and dark chocolate flavors supported by medium, powdery tannins. Well-structured with a very long finish, it should be enjoyed over the next three years. My note: Mocha-infused nose opens up to blackberries and black raspberries. Lovely smoky, spicy mid-palate followed by a long, satisfying finish. Full-bodied and delicious. 602284 13% XD 750 mL  $21.95 Score: 90/100. September 26, 2009 Full Review
Zenato Superiore Valpolicella 2007, D.O.C., Veneto, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: Zenato’s 2007 Valpolicella Superiore is dry, medium bodied with fresh and juicy blackcurrant and plummy fruit and an undertone of roasted almond. This is a charming, velvety wine. My note: Stunning, takes my breath (and almost my words) away. Try it, please: for something different, especially if you’re feeling as though you’re in a rut. This lovely, lovely wine will get you out of that very quickly and soaring aloft a pleasure cloud of flavor. Full-bodied with notes of black cherries and plums and some mocha. A staggeringly great value 995704 13.50% XD 750 mL  $16.95 Score: 90/100. September 26, 2009 Full Review
