Schild Estate Shiraz 2010, Barossa Valley, Australia: Big fleshy blackberries and black plums roll off the nose followed by savoury goodness and mouth-watering juiciness on the palate. Wynns Coonawarra Estate Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Coonawarra, South Australia, Australia: Luscious and rich with cassis, fleshy blackberry and blackcurrant. Absolutely classic with a long finish. Tremendous quality for the price. There's some seductive anise and dark spice on the long finish. Good finish on this D.O.C. wine. There's been a revolution in dry red wines from Portugal: try this one and you'll know what I'm talking about.
