The Black Chook Woop Woop Wines Shiraz Viognier 2008

South Australia, Australia

Reviewed: February 6, 2010

$16.95

My Review: This intriguing combination of 96% shiraz/ 4% viognier proved to be a well matched duo in the glass. Another Australian gem from the McLaren Vale, the addition of viognier grapes bring a unique floral component to the aroma of ripe, jammy raspberries, toasted oak, and anise. Bursting with fruity red berries and spice on the palate, the well balanced tannins make this wine a definite pleaser, with or without food. Score: 89/100
