A full-bodied white wine with gorgeous aromas of ripe pear and melon and rich toastiness from just the right amount of oak aging. This wine is made from sauvignon blanc grapes. Try it with heirloom tomatoes, vegetarian dishes and Pacific Rim cuisine.

Reviews and Ratings

Until very recently, Stratus’s Tollgate wines were available only at restaurants and at the winery’s own tasting bar. This fascinating, lightly oaked Savvy offers brilliant orchard fruit and citrus zest framed by light tree sap and toast, plus some intriguing grilled-herb notes. From Niagara’s white-wine-perfect 2009 vintage, it shows that Savvies such as this one with plenty of acidity and balance can age gracefully. Source: Vintages Wine Panel
