Saltram Wine Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: September 11, July 26, September 12 and March 7.
Smoky black cherry liqueur with full-bodied power and concentration. Generous oak weaves through ripe blackberries and blackcurrant. A mocha-infused finish leaves you longing for more. Good structure and length. Decant for 1-2 hours.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
|Dan Trcka rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:|
The 2008 Saltram Mamre Brook Cabernet Sauvignon is a full bodied, integrated wine, with nice aromas of blackberry, cedar, leather and vanilla + coconut. Tannins are refined (decant for 30 min) and the finish is medium to long and alcoholic (15.5%). Drink now or cellar for the next 5 years standing up (screw cap). My impression: NICE, 90 pts. Tasted Dec/11.
