Gnarly Head Old Vine Zinfandel 2007
I’ve loved this wine for a number of years now. Laced with fleshy purple plums, blueberries and a lick of anise, it’s a delicious dinner companion. The old gnarly vines are free-standing and head-trained, meaning they’re not trained on trellis wires and their grapes are picked by hand for extra gentle handling.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
|A wine with a complex nose of musty earth, dry leaves, smoke and vanilla. On the palate it has a full body, lots of fruit, tart acidity and alcohol. It’s a real mouthful that leaves a long lingering pie cherry finish ... great value.|
