Fonseca White Port
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: September 11, July 26, September 12 and March 7.
I was surprised at this port mostly because I haven't tried many of the white variety. (I love tawny!) Makes a lovely after-dinner drink to sip on its own or with biscotti or fruit-based desserts. White Port food pairings: Serve as an aperitif, over ice with Tonic and mint, or on its own.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
2 ounces white port
Dash of lime juice
2 ounces tonic water
1 slice of bitter melon or cucumber, plus 2 slices of seedless green grapes, skewered on a toothpick
Combine the port and lime juice in a wineglass with ice. Add the tonic. Garnish with the bitter melon or cucumber and grapes.
Well balanced fragrant nose combining aromas of mellow fruit and delicate hints of honey and fine oak. Round and velvety on the palate with a long soft finish full of delicious ripe fruity flavours.
