Long recognized for producing quality Cabernet Sauvignon, Chateau St. Jean’s superbly priced version is no exception. Front and centre are ripe cassis, raspberry and wood-smoke. With the fruit nicely balanced by mid-palate tannins this wine is dry, rich, ripe and forward. Enjoy it tonight. A full-bodied, well-structure cabernet with classic notes of cassis, blackcurrant and blackberry. Food matches: beef brisket, gourmet burgers, rich meat-based pasta dish. More Wine Reviews and Ratings
Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Darlene Myers rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: When I visited the Napa Valley, the Sonoma County was one of my favorites, and I actually spent most of my vacation in this region. I love this wine because it reminds me of Sonoma. In the glass this wine boasts flavours of blackberry, red currant and cedar. It's a nice full bodied wine with a lingering finish.
Vivid aromas of blackberries, fresh plum and chocolate follow through to rich flavors of black cherries, fresh berry pie and notes of black tea.
