The beginning of a star label, this predominantly Merlot (64%) based Bordeaux blend is drinking well in 2013. Toasted thyme, forest floor, and mushroom all complement the wet earth notes on the bouquet. Hints of dried cherry are also detectable. On the palate, the tannins have softened nicely to make way for fresh prune and dried tobacco notes. The long length is a beautiful way of finishing off this aged BC wine. Included in this blend are Merlot (64%), Cabernet Sauvignon (26%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). Just lovely.
