A full-bodied and balanced red, with aromas of black fruit and a tarry grip. Finishes with aromas of baked black cherry. Lots of acidity and dried herbs.
Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore food pairings: pasta, charcuterie, smoky grilled sausage.

|Courtney Flood rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:|
Ripasso means "passed over" the semi-dried grape skins used to make amarone, adding depth. This wine is rich and savoury, with aromas of cherry, dried fig and balsamic, black pepper and sage. This wine is crying it for marinara sauce. I paired with peppered socca (chickpea flour flatbread) topped with garlicky balsamic marinara sauce, peppery arugula, and good quality olive oil. Would also be fantastic with roasted cherry tomatoes and good cheese.
|A robust, rustic Italian red wine made in the Ripasso style to bake in extra strength, colour and flavour. Roasted black fruit, oak, smoke and tar on the finish. - Community Wine Reviews|
