Dark berries and black plums perfume this wine. Full-bodied goodness and smooth texture. There’s a lot of hedonistic pleasure here. Perfect for movie night!

Andrew Bernardo Wine Journal rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Striking briars, cranberry, cassis and grilled herb and scorched earth core. Cedar and dried tobacco leaf backs it up. Restrained and great acid. Coonawarra Cab at its best. Would make a ripe left-bank Bordeaux lover cry. Great for another 8-10 years. Could really match an aged Pessac-Léognan by that time. I'm 93 on this wine. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This full bodied Australian Cab is nicely aromatic with integrated notes of black currant, blackberry, Earth, pine, vanilla and oak. The tannins are refined to tannic (decant for 1/2 to 1 hour) and the finish is long and smooth and silky. It should nicely evolve for the next decade or so. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 92 pts. Reviewed again May/10.

My earlier review:
Dominated by black currant, black cherry and bilberry, this wine also has notes of pine, oak and vanilla. It is smooth and silky; still young, fruity and somewhat tannic (needs one hour to open), with medium to full body and a long finish. My impression: BEAUTIFUL. Tasted Feb/10.
Bright red-purple; a striking and fragrant bouquet, with blackcurrant, earth and cedar aromas; the palate moves onto a different plane, with considerable tannin-derived structure that has an earthy/savoury regional profile; serious wine. Drink [until] 2016. Score: 95 Source: James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au
