Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Woodbridge Merlot 2009 Wine Review
Pleasantly herbal with plush black plums and blackcurrants. Full-bodied and smooth. Needs no coaxing out of the glass. 4.4/5 Merlot food pairings: steak, hamburgers, grilled pork chops.

Full body smooth finish black berry flavor
|The 2009 Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Merlot offers lush aromas and flavors of juicy black cherries and plums accented by hints of mocha and cloves. The supple, velvety tannins give the wine good structure, while oak aging adds warm vanilla tones to the finish. The complex flavors and smooth texture of this wine enable it to pair well with a wide variety of dishes. Enjoy this versatile and approachable Merlot with barbecued chicken, spaghetti Bolognese, wild mushroom risotto, or a perfectly grilled burger.|
