Love it! My kind of burgundy: earthy, black cherry and violets with a terrific zing of acidity. Medium- to almost full-bodied with a satin smoothness. Bring some to my birthday party please.

Pinot Noir food pairings: beef tenderloin with a mushroom sauce, robust cheese such as Époisses.

From Santenay, at the southern tip of the Côte de Beaune, this Pinot Noir shows the impressive ripeness-meets-structure that’s characteristic of the warm 2009 Burgundy vintage. Plush and textured medium-bodied wine showing sweet raspberry, cherry, plum, floral and gentle spice notes. Shapely tannins give it nice arc from mid-palate to finish. A fine 1er Cru to savour over the next 5+ years. Source: Vintages Wine Panel

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
