Vintages Wine Panel: This winery is co-owned by the great California producer Paul Hobbs. Attractive yellow-straw colour with a green tinge. Aromas suggest ripe pear, apple-cinnamon, buttered toast and coconut. Dry, crisply fruity with a gentle toastiness (only 20% of the juice receives oak contact). The bright acids ably surround the fruit tones. This nicely textured wine would be a good match for a vast array of other seafood dishes. My note: Nicely done! Good balance with pleasant green apple and toasted almond finish. Full-bodied and luscious.

Chardonnay food pairings: crab cakes with lemon sauce, seafood.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
