Another gorgeous red wine from Versado - this wine and winemaker perform consistently well every year. Aromas of fleshy black fruit, dried herbs, spices and pepper. Pair with grilled lamb.

Malbec food pairings: pork roast, vegetarian stew, slow-roasted beef long ribs.

Reviews and Ratings

From Argentina's Mendoza wine growing region, Versado Winery is the project of Ann Sperling and Peter Gamble. "Versado" is Spanish from "well-versed". The vineyards had been left to their own for a while and within 10 months of working the vineyards, Ann and Peter were very happy to see their speedy recovery. The story goes that "strolling philosophically through the rows, an elderly Argentine member of our vineyard team commented that the vines were ‘versado,’ that they had produced great wines for nearly a century and, being asked to do so again, they knew exactly what to do - they were well-versed in this matter." - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
