Old leather and violets: this wine surprised me, especially for the price. This is all earth and spice with supporting fruit but the fruit is secondary. It tastes very mature in the best sense. Can’t beat this price.

This somewhat atypical bottling is oak softened, and the texture is quite velvety. Despite all the back and forth one sees on this wine’s oak treatment, it is hardly a parody of Xinomavro. This has excellent structure, intense and tannin on the finish and good acidity. The longer it aired out, the more interesting it became … That is a function, to some extent, of it being a year young, but this has some extra power. I found myself appreciating it more for its potential than its current attractiveness, but this has some upside. Drink 2011-2020. Score: 89 Source: Michael Schachner, Wine Enthusiast

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
