More Wine Reviews and Ratings

rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This medium bodied wine pairs beautifully with Greek grilled pork chops and baked bass with capers, lemon and herbs. Also match with aged hard cheeses and Tomme de Savoie. The nose is citrus and Granny Smith apple and the flavour is more pine nut or blanched almond and lime. Full bodied mouth but gentle going down. Drink in the short term to 2 years. Great value too!

Shows lovely focus and energy in its crisp fruit and perfumed, expressive aromatics. Mint and floral notes reappear to frame the finish. It delivers excellent quality and value. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016.

Pecorino (the grape, not the cheese!) is native to Abruzzo and Marche. It is known for creating aromatic and flavourful wines like this beauty. Aromas suggest honeyed pear, pine nut, beeswax and citrus. Dry with forward fruit flavours wrapped in fresh acidity. The interplay between the vibrant fruit and crisp acids is ideally harmonious. Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
