Natalie's Score: 90/100

This robust red wine is a blend of 80% Malbec, 10% Bonarda and 10% Syrah grapes that was matured for a year in oak. Loaded with aromas of black fruit, smoke and tar. This wine needs cellar time and decanting of 2 hours. Pencil led and black fruit on the finish. Try it with hearty meat dishes.

Malbec Bonarda Syrah food pairings: hamburger, rare steaks, beef fajitas.

Darlene Myers CAPS Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This award winning blend of Malbec, Bonarda and Syrah make for a well structured wine from Argentina. Ripe red cherry fruits, cloves and a touch of vanilla make for a delicious wine to drink on its own or with dinner. Would pair well with any roasted meats including beef, pork or lamb.
Marc rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Nice wine
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

Deep red with violet hues and crimson glints. From the nose, fresh red fruits like berries, strawberries and cherries combined with clove and smoke. Vanilla and toasts aromas from the oak. From the palate, presence and strong personality. Soft and exquisite tannins. Impetuous and pleasant ending. Enjoy with lamb and pears macerated in wine.

This full-bodied red wine is a blend of 70% Malbec, 18% Bonarda and 12% Syrah grapes. Long held as a consistently well-produced wine by critics and wine drinkers alike. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
