Black and brooding with lots of oak and palate-whacking black fruit. Full-bodied? Oh yes.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Torbreck continues to an incredible price/quality ratio for its mid-range bottlings. This wine is no different. A core of blackberry preserves, stewed blackberry and melted licorice are complemented by lighter cassis, mocha, and chestnut notes. This wine has a lot going on, and has enough acidity to make it interesting, and ageworthy. 92 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Over the past few weeks I have had the opportunity to try a couple of different GSM's - Grenache Shiraz and Mourvedre blends. I love them, and this Torbreck did not disappoint. It's complex with a great structure, full bodied and aromatic. It's rich fruit and cherry flavours are made even smoother with oak.
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

Dense rich and opulent this wine combines great fruit purity with texture complexity and finesse.
