Reviews and Ratings

The 2007 Oldfield Series 2Bench Red is the first release of our Bordeaux style red
blend. The 2007 2Bench Red is a blend of 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Cabernet
Franc, 29% Merlot. The Cabernet Sauvignon was fermented in 2 tonne open top
fermenters that were punched down twice daily; the Cabernet Franc and Merlot
fermented in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation was complete Sandra decided
the percentage of each varietal that would make up the Oldfield Series 2Bench Red
by choosing the lots with the best tannin and fruit structure. Blending occurred
before going into barrel where is aged for 18 months in new to two year old French
oak barrels. This wine spent 15 months in bottle before release.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
