Vintages Wine Panel: A terrific Pinot and wonderful value for a wine from Central Otago, arguably New Zealand’s best place to grow Pinot Noir. Medium ruby colour. Aromas are clearly Otago Pinot: sour cherry, pomegranate, wet earth, plum, plus a hint of prune. Dry, flavourful and fruity with resolving tannins and pleasant acidity. The texture is quite silky. Ready to drink. My note: Zingy cherry aromas with a lovely softness and satin texture on the palate. Medium-bodied with a gentleness you want to wrap around you like a comforting shawl. Good night.
Pinot Noir food pairings: roast beef sandwiches, grilled lamb burgers.
