Reviews and Ratings

Martin Geleynse rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The color is almost black, and lots of dark berry and black pepper aromas come out. This wine's flavors are even more pronounced, tasting peppery, meaty and like boysenberries. Dense tannins make the mouthfeel thick and layered. A lingering finish attests to its considerable concentration. Editors' Choice. Score - 91. (Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast, March 2016)
Nothing petite, about this Petite Sirah from Amador County, California. The wine is so dark red, it is almost black. Lots of fruit concentration as well on the palate. Pair Terra D'oro with grilled burgers. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

  Best Books of the Year

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
