Natalie's Score: 91/100

Juicy black and purple plums aromas along with fleshy blackberry and blueberry notes on this luscious palate. Full-bodied, smooth and mouth-watering. Not tannic. Reminds me (almost) of a juicy Californian zinfandel. Pair with grilled meats and happiness.

Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore food pairings: pizza topped with steak strips and garlic, spicy sausage , prime rib roast, hearty winter stew.

Reviews and Ratings

Tedeschi's Capitel San Rocco Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore is full-bodied with ripe and rich fleshy blackberry, blueberry and plushy plum on the palate. The wine is smooth and mouthwatering, but not tannic. Pair this robust red wine with hamburgers. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
