Reviews and Ratings

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Alex: Great, expressive nose of kirsch, figs, mulch and violets. Firm, furry tannin, elegant texture, black plums and a fine herbal dusting on the finish. Refined, concentrated and balanced, a superb L.B.V! 90pts
Neil Phillips rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

LBVs tend to offer excellent price-quality ratios, and this offering from the storied house of Taylor Fladgate is no exception.

Deep ruby with great colour extraction. Medium+ nose with telltale whiff of brandy spirits. Aromas of black cherry, plum, liquorice, blueberry, cough drops.

On the palate, sweet with medium tannins and medium- acidity, it's full-bodied and relatively balanced.

Pronounced flavours of candied violets, raisins, bitter chocolate, mineral notes, stewed red fruits.

For Port fans (and we all should be), this offers great value.

Tasted November 2016.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
