Reviews and Ratings

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Priya: This is the port that I know and love. Rich, strong, and full-bodied with a long aftertaste. Amazing value for a solid port. 90pts

Alex: Fair bit of fruit on the nose - strawberry-cherry jam, some rhubarb, light toffee and a touch of heat. Nutty accent to a strawberry liqueur finish of fine length. Moderate sweetness, and with some heat poking through the finish. Good. 89pts
Neil Phillips rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Taylor Fladgate is often considered the standard-bearer for Tawny Ports - at least those readily available. With this 10-year, it's easy to see why.

Floral aromas with clay, wood, red berries and dried fruits.

Wonderful palate of spirits and savoury dried fruits, resinous notes, medium+ finish.

Tawnies are generally more versatile than LBVs, with the savoury backbone offering a lot of latitude. An excellent introduction to the style.

Last tasted November 2016.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A classic, rich and satisfying Tawny port. Taylors 10 yr. offers intense aromas of chocolate covered cherries, coffee, brandy and dried fruit. Flavours are rich and luscious; nutty with raisins and spicy cinnamon heat. Low acidity, with a full body and a velvety rich long finish. Sweetness: 123g/L Pair with chocolate mousse, and Black Forest cake.
Devlon rated this wine as 88/100
A 10 Year Old tawny port is a blend of 10 vintages and thus doesn't have a year on the label. It leans more toward toffee flavours than the black fruit of vintage-dated ports. Pair with biscotti. - Community Wine Review
