Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From the sunny and very warm 2011 vintage comes this affordable but flavourful Chardonnay.
Medium lemon colour in the glass with intense aromas of Niagara tree fruit, citrus, vanilla, toasted biscuit, floral, hone, butter and herbs. the palate is warm and creamy. Subtle French oak ageing is evident in the smokey vanilla flavours. Golden apple, lemon zest, honeysuckle, apricot, white pepper and some stony minerality. Delicious!
Long length on a succulent, creamy finish.Drink now but has potential to age.
XD.Balanced acidity to creaminess.
Food pairings: seafood, crab cakes, prosciutto w/melon
Tasted Radius Cafe Hamilton Mar.29/14
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Herbal, oak and tropical notes, with tropical flavours and a crisp finish.
Great pairing with creamy pasta dishes or buttery salmon. 90 pts.

This unique Chardonnay from Tawse presents dried fruit with caramel and smokey notes on the nose. Buttery caramel and smoke on the palate. Pair with soft cheeses. Tasted June 01 2017.
