Maipo Valley is the best-known wine-growing appellation in Chile. This warm region specializes, justifiably, in Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep ruby-purple colour foreshadows aromas and flavours of fresh black cherry, blackcurrant, cedar plank and woodsmoke. It’s medium-full bodied, juicy and round with mouth-coating, slightly chewy, ripe, youthful tannins. Stick it in your cellar for 3-5 years, or decant and enjoy.
