Stags' Leap Winery Merlot 2007 Wine Review
Natalie's Score: 94/100Vintages Wine Panel: A big, generous, layered Merlot from a stellar vintage in Napa. Deep ruby with aromas of black cherry, dark chocolate, smoked meat and forest floor. Dry, plush-textured with fine fruit tones at the centre, surrounded by chunky, velvety-smooth tannins. Medium-full bodied with a long, fruity, tannin-supported finish. My note: Classic and aristocratic. The length, breadth and depth of this wine are incredible. Savoury and delicious. Perfect for dinner parties.
Merlot food pairings: roast leg of lamb.
