A Chardonnay that's vibrant and alive! Great acidity yet lovely richness and complexity with green apple, baking spice and tree fruit aromas. This is superb craftsmanship for one of California's flagship white wines. Lovely baked apple and vanilla smoke on a long finish. Highly recommended.

Chardonnay food pairings: veal masala, veal and ham casserole, veal breast with herb stuffing.

Reviews and Ratings

Stags' Leap Winery (2015) is a medium-bodied Chardonnay from the Napa Valley in California is fresh with vibrant acidity. The wine is rich on the palate with ripe green apple, cake baking spice and pear and stone fruit. Well-balanced and structured, the wine finishes with a slight smoky finish from some oak treatment. This winery was established in 1893. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
