Good acidity that cries out for food, especially hearty meat dishes. Ripe and tart blackberry flavours with some black plum and just enough oak. Very consistent producer.

Gamekeeper’s is a tried and true label, always good, but seldom better than it is with this vintage. Bright crimson, it exudes fragrant cherry and raspberry aromas, then moves on to a deliciously fruity, succulent palate. Forget about tannins or oak, just enjoy it asap for its youth and fruit. Drink [until] 2013. Score: 91 Source: James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au
