Natalie's Score: 89/100Generous oak with fleshy ripe cherries. Smooth and full-bodied. For those who love power pinots. I can see the starry night as I take another sip.
Pinot Noir food pairings: planked salmon on the grill.

The Marlborough region of New Zealand is known for 2 things.. Fantastic Sauvignon Blanc and delicious Pinor Noir. The 2009 Spy Valley Pinot Noir did not disappoint. Silky and seductive with flavors of cherries and spice and a hint of floral. I had this with Ran-Cher Acres Chevre cheese and it was fantastic. Great for any meal, or sharing with friends.
|Medium red. Ripe cherry and raspberry aromas complemented by mocha and pungent spices. Juicy, spicy and nicely delineated, with a lovely high-toned sweetness and a distinctly sappy quality. I’d give this vibrant pinot a year or so to absorb its acidity. Score: 89 Source: Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar|
