Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of dried pineapple and dried white fruit, white flower, lychee, clementine, lemon, and hints of white pepper.

It is wonderfully tart on the palate with flavours of lemon, clementine, stone fruit, as well as some herbal notes and a very subtle touch of chives.

Tasted February 2018
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Rich and creamy tropical notes of lychee and guava mingled with fresh apple, peach, florals, honeycitrus and sweet spices. There's a lingering play on the palate of white peach and melon over a warming finish. Medium-bodied with refreshing acidity and good structure. Excellent price performer and everyday white. I'm thinking all things seafood with this wine.
Tasted: August 2016
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Medium intensity aromas of guava, lychee, and, to some extent, of melon which will be more expressive on the palate. This is a medium body, dry wine, with good acidity that will go very well with seafoods.
Spier Vintage Selection 2015 is a dry and flavoursome Chenin Blanc from Swartland, Stellenbosch wine region in South Africa. Terrific mouthfeel on the lemony, beeswax and grassy floured Chenin. The Spier winery has 300 years of winemaking heritage -- almost as long as the heritage of the Chenin Blanc grape growing in South Africa. - Community Wine Reviews
