Reviews and Ratings

Sue Kupka reviewed this wine as follows:

92 points — "Clean, very fresh, low oak influence seems to be nicely integrated, some mineral notes, green apple, cream. Dry, clean, fresh, highly flavoured — this is a step up from the 2006 Triomphe, at least stylistically different. Lovely hazelnut flavours linger on and on, and acidity is rivetingly fresh. Drink late 2009 on."
–John Szabo, First in Line

Pineapple, spice, butter, hints of toast on the nose with apple, lemon citrus and vanilla on the palate and a wonderful long mouth feel. A baby, this is showing well now but will continue to develop complexity for years.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
