High alcohol, almost in the fortified wine region with hot baked black plums and chary oak. Somewhat reduced on the finish with bake prunes. Pair with a huge, rare steak.

Shiraz food pairings: lamb cutlets, hamburgers, espresso and cocoa-rubbed flank steak, black bean soup, cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Carola Price rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Lots going on in the nose in a no holds barred approach to Aussie Shiraz. Baked apples with clove, stewed plums and some black pepper and vanilla. In the mouth it is intense black fruit jam, dark chocolate and some vanilla. I'm thinking dessert with alcohol. I dare you to pair it with a molten chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream, plum torte, gooey cheeses and BBQ ribs with a good molasses based sauce. Drink 1 to 4 years
