Natalie's Score: 89/100

Pleasantly bitter and juicy with big, black brooding fruit: cassis and blackcurrant wrapped in cedar smoke.

Shiraz food pairings: roast leg of lamb off the barbecue rotisserie.

Medium bodied but firm with a stream of lightly chalky tannins running through it. It’s a little meaty, with pepper spice and some mint sitting on top of boysenberry and plum fruit. Has something like malty Turkish dried apricot sweetness and subtle vanilla oak providing a bit of prettiness. And it’s a pretty serious wine for the price too, and one that’s sure to cellar pretty well. Score: 93 Source: Gary Walsh, winefront.com.au
