The Seghesio Zinfandel is one of Californian's best Zins. It packed with jammy black fruit. This wine has been produced since 1895 and today the vines are ancient at about 30 years old. Serious zin for fun barbecues.
Zinfandel food pairings: prime rib.

|Dianne Fisher - Sommelier, ISG rated this wine as 78/100 with the following review:|
These Zinfandel grapes are sourced from the Alexander Valley and Dry Creek in Sonoma. I love its opaque, dark plum colour and how it sticks to the glass. On the nose I get dark fruits, rosemary and black pepper, however, I find they are over powered by its 15% alcohol and therefore comes off a little 'boozy'. The alcohol from the nose follows to the palate along with hot peppers in dark chocolate, and ripe plums.
