Buttery and toasty through the mid-palate with fleshy peach and pear aromas on the finish. Full-bodied and layered. Caramel-rich and layered Californian Chardonnay from one of the region's best-known and most-respected winemakers. Pair with roast chicken or turkey, or lobster bisque.

Chardonnay food pairings: pasta, hodge podge, lobster with mayonnaise, roasted chicken, pork with a creamy lemon sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

From California's Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County, a delicious Chard with buttery caramel and toast on the nose. The rich creamy palate gives tropical passionfruit, pineapple, caramel and a twist of lime. Satiny smooth with a lingering rich finish. A great gift wine for a Chardonnay lover.
Tasted Oct. 2016
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This California Chardonnay pours with divine aromas of citrus peel, pineapple, baking spice, and faint butterscotch notes. Flavours are concentrated and echo the aromas. This Chardonnay is full bodied with moderate acidity, dry fruity sweetness and a long mouthwatering finish. Enjoy with creamy seafood chowder. Tasted Oct 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
California sunshine shines through this buttery Chardonnay with tropical fruit flavours. Winemaker Sbragia is deft with Chardonnay. About 50% of this wine was matured in new oak barrels and 50% second use oak. Pair with roast chicken or turkey, or lobster bisque - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
