An incredible wine for the money! This full-bodied Chilean red wine offers generous aromas and flavours of blackberry, pepper, cassis, cedar smoke and purple plum. Santa Rita's home vineyards are in Alto Jahuel in the Maipo Valley. The wine is aged n French and American oak barrels for 8 months. Finishes with dark berry flavours and oak spice. Pair with hearty meat dishes.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: red meats, ripe cheeses, meat sauce pasta dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Shaunna Marto Chef, owner rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

I love this dark ruby red glass of deliciousness! Interesting, attractive aromas and flavors of berry pie, and cracked pepper with a vibrant, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a tingling, breezy finish with accents of craisin, citrus, earth, and cedar with earthy tannins and light oak. A lovely, tasty red for sipping or the table.
Kristine Hart rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

We always like this wine! It goes well with everything or on its own.
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

Expressive, balanced and persistent. Its aromas recall ripe, black fruit, plums and fine herbs, gracefully combined with vanilla, cloves and fragrant spices. Aged in American oak barrels, the palate is complex mingling soft tannins with rich texture.

Barb Potocnik reviewed this wine as follows:

Had with burgers- loved it.
An expressive ruby red colour. Its aromas recall ripe, black fruit gracefully combined with vanilla, tobacco and cloves. The result is a medium bodied wine, with good balance and a persistent finish.
