Vintages Wine Panel: Very deep ruby colour, almost pitch black. The intensity carries over to the palate, where aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, woodsmoke, smoked meat, mocha/dark chocolate and black licorice are all apparent. Dry, well-structured with lots of fruit, oak, refined tannins and well-handled acidity. Full-bodied with a very long, complex finish. Give this 3-5+ years in a cellar, or enjoy it tonight. My note: Terrific value with rich texture and dark fruit flavors. Notes of espresso, dried figs and anise. Great for long conversations into the wee hours of the night (morning).

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: roast beef from a slow cookerand root vegetables.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
