The Santa Margherita Chianti Classico 2008 is a great full bodied red wine. Full of Cherry and fruit with a hint of smokiness...this paired well with the spicy Chinese food. Tasted October 24,2013 (91/100)

A nice solid Chianti with lots of leather, dried hers, tobacco, black pepper and sour cherry. Nice acidity and some bright tannins that could do with a touch of age to soften them a bit.
|A brooding and compact Chianti Classico, it features tar, plum, black cherry, dried herbs and earthy aromas. Quite dry with a little more weight on its frame than many Chiantis, it’s mouthfilling and flavourful with dense black fruit, earth and leather notes along with some peppery spice.
