Full-bodied, savoury, succulent and meaty. Absolutely stunning for the price. Layers of fleshy black fruit, smoke and toasty oak. Pair with a rare steak tonight.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: barbecued meats, grilled Portobello mushrooms with balsamic dressing.

Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark rich purple color in the glass, decadent aromas of chocolate and spice. Beautiful tannins, big full bodied taste and there's that chocolate. This would be a great steak wine.
The bottles are also certified Carbon Neutral. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, undated. Showing a big masculine character, this dense wine delivers warm aromas of cedar, rich ripe flavours – cassis to the fore-and a dash of spice. Dry and full bodied with grippy tannin and fresh acidity framing well-ripened black fruit, smoky, toasty notes add complexity. The finish is long and tinged with a note of espresso. Offered in environmentally friendly, light-weight glass, this wine pairs well with barbequed meats. Score: 5 (out of 5). Source: Susan Desjardins, wine-current.com, Oct. 24, 2012

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
